About the practice

QAD Architects was formed in 2004 by Directors Paul Wainwright and Ian Bryant and the company consists of 10 technical staff all based in the multi award winning sustainable Greenhouse development in Leeds. QAD Architects are a design studio with imagination and creativity, whilst retaining a strong sense of commercial reality. Pride is taken in the ability of being flexible in delivering client requirements; pushing the frontiers of design when appropriate, whilst acknowledging a traditional approach when necessary. QAD Architects are fully conversant with all industry standard software and IT requirements and have in house 3D visualisation and animation skills. Building Information Modelling is embedded within the company’s operation. The company is committed to the pursuit of excellence in the services provided for clients. There is, therefore, a rigour in the approach of verification and validation of design through all stages of development and we are ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited. The company prides itself in providing a ‘value added’ service and in exceeding client expectations. This has very much informed the ethos of QAD Architects and this approach has led to QAD’s success in the working with a range of clients on a regular basis, and winning a multitude of frameworks.
