The Aspull Health & Wellbeing Centre is a rebuilding of Aspull Surgery’s existing premises on Haigh Road along with those of Aspull Clinic previously located adjacent the surgery. The facility also includes a pharmacy. The new development improves upon the previous provision providing flexible modern facilities fit for primary healthcare in the 21st century. The primary care centre is also a response to central government policy of increasing primary care facilities in the communities which they serve, lessening the reliance upon secondary care. By combining the two sites this facilitates the phasing of the development to allow the minimum disruption to the service provision.
