QAD were approached by Karbon Homes through Tolent to deliver much needed 100% affordable housing in the village Sowerby on the outskirts of Thirsk. The site lies adjacent to the Sowerby Conservation Area and is currently arable land with historic field boundaries formed by hedgerows running east - west across the development. Working with Karbon Homes to create standard house types which will be used on future sites; the development at Back Lane offers a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes. A range of properties including bungalows have been developed for the site to create a mixed community catering for a range of households and tenure ensuring a sustainable development.
