About the practice

Zac Monro Architects are an award winning, design lead architectural practice based in Brixton, South London, and have been practicing in the UK and abroad since 1995. The nature of our work is diverse: from small-scale interventions to masterplanning. What we specialise in is attention to detail. Having quietly built-up a reputation on small-scale extensions and renovations, we are also experienced in new-build housing, commercial office projects, and public works. Keen to push for excellence in the difficult environment of the construction industry, we respect, value and encourage collaborative involvement in the design process, from the client to the community, which we consider to be crucial to our work. Picked up by Channel 4 after an appearance on Grand Designs, ZMA renovated a number of homes across Britain to create homes and outside spaces that unlock the potential of living inside and out, demonstrating that altering a home can transform the lives of 12 families for the better.
