Being local architects to Brixton we were appointed as part of the design team for the Somerleyton Road Masterplan to look at converting the only existing building on the site, Carlton Mansions, into creative workspaces. The scheme is a pivotal landmark of the community due to its location, political status with the nuclear dawn mural on its gable and its past and present uses. Currently on site, Carlton Mansions will sit with the new Oval House Theatre and together they will form the first view of this truly transformative development.
