About the practice

At Hatterwan Architects, we aim to design inventive yet practical and welcoming spaces. By combining innovative materials, geometry, and light, we strive to create characterful and engaging places. Our design ethos is defined by close collaborations with our clients, beginning each process with us listening to their aspirations. Each design then results in an individual, custom-made site and client-specific response. Formed in 2010 by Mark Hatter and Klara Wan, London-based Hatterwan Architects offers architectural, interior design, conservation, and project management services. We specialise in high-end residential projects, ranging from private one-off homes to new-build housing developments in the UK and abroad, as well as hospitality projects, including bars and restaurants.
