About the practice

Creative Prototyping Unit Limited is a multidisciplinary design studio based in London, exploring the intersection of art, science, technology, and culturally conscious research. With a holistic approach, the studio challenges norms and delivers innovative solutions across diverse design fields. Projects range from furniture, product design, and art installations to hotel interiors, stadiums, and large-scale cultural tourism masterplans. The core team brings experience from world-renowned architecture firms and expertise in project planning and management. Since its founding, CPU Studio has won numerous international awards, including first prize in the 'BrightLED' competition by Designboom and the Gwangju Biennale Foundation, the European A' Design Gold Award for Lighting, the IDA Bronze Award (USA), A&D Trophy Awards, and the Architizer A+Awards. Recent projects include the Air China VIP Lounges in Beijing and Chengdu, ICBC Panama Office, the Shenzhen Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Future Industrial Town masterplan, Xi'an International Football Center and its urban surroundings, a CSL Football Club youth training base, and a fireplace design for the Dong ethnicity in Guangnan, Guangxi, China.
