About the practice

Mosedale Gillatt Architects is an award winning practice, formed by Jenny Gillatt RIBA SCA and Tim Mosedale RIBA CA in 2000. The practice works across a variety of sectors and has developed specific skills related to designing both new build and adaptive projects within culturally and historically significant environments. Our recent work has encompassed education projects, visitor buildings, performance space, retail, residential and conservation work.. The practice directors recognise the need to ‘give back’ and as well as offering an apprentice opportunity for young architects within the practice, we also hold voluntary positions for policy groups, nationally and locally. We recognise that our repeat clients are our greatest assets, and we are proud to sustain ongoing relationships, nurtured through our thoroughly professional, creative and inspired service. Our attention to context and detail, coupled with our ability to consult and importantly to listen, means that every design project offers opportunity – for the client and design team alike. We have 3 conservation accredited Architects and a Passive House certified Designer within the Practice. Recent clients include the National Trust, English Heritage, the Churches Conservation Trust, Sunderland Council, Middlesbrough Council and Newcastle City Council.
