Grade II* listed Warwick Bridge Corn Mill, derelict and on the heritage at Risk register, is one of very few water mills that is still capable of operation. The extent of machinery still in place made it important enough for Heritage Lottery funding to have been secured, in order to preserve the mill with the potential for it to be returned to a fully working state. Mosedale Gillatt were appointed by Cultura Trust to develop proposals for conservation, adaptation and reuse of the building, integrating a full hydro system to provide power from the water wheel. The approach has been to reinstate the working machinery but to support this with additional facilities in the building, with an artisan bakery and interpretation core. Completed in 2019, the millstones have now ground their first flour, supplying the new state of the art bakery.
