Durham Miners Hall, also known as the ‘Pitman’s Parliament,’ is located in the heart of the Durham and has been the home of the Durham Miners’ Association (DMA) for over a hundred years. Mosedale Gillatt Architects were appointed in 2020 to lead a full design team to extend and restore this Grade II listed building for Redhills CIO, a charity set up to preserve the historic Durham Miners Hall and promote the culture and heritage of the Durham coalfield. Following a successful £7.2 million NLHF application the ‘Redhills Revealed’ project is due for completion on site in early 2025.
