About the practice

Markos Design Workshop is a RIBA-chartered architecture practice specialising in; well considered exctensions, eco-homes and luxury holiday lets. Our work is nationally recognised and increasingly attracting international attention for its expertise in advanced timber architecture and environmentally conscious design. We approach every project with sensitivity to nature, ensuring buildings are carefully integrated into their surroundings to create spaces that are beautiful and well integrated with there surroundings. We believe in building direct, one-to-one relationships with our clients. Clear communication underpins our work, enabling us to be responsive to site conditions, context, timelines, and budgets while consistently delivering the best possible results. As a young, forward-thinking practice, we take a technology-first approach to design and construction, embracing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA). These approaches deliver faster build times, greater construction precision, and excellent value for money. Alongside our architecture practice, we operate a luxury holiday home letting business centred on a unique cabin product of our own design, the Monocoque Cabin. This first-hand experience of developing and running holiday lets gives us a real-life understanding of operational realities, enabling us to offer clients practical, commercially focused advice alongside exceptional architectural design.
