About the practice

Formed in 2007 by Darren Blake and James Hopkinson. The practice prides itself on its hands-on approach to design. Client service is extremely important to us and a personal service is provided with a senior design professional running the project to control the design co-ordination, quality and resource. Our staffing structure ensures that each project is always undertaken by highly experienced consultant. Design input is provided by our multi-award winning architectural and interior design staff and underpinned by the construction expertise of our technologists. Blake Hopkinson Architecture is an R.I.B.A. Chartered Practice which means we work within a set practice structure and ISO9001 quality management system. Blake Hopkinson Architecture embrace team working and value the contribution to the design process from client and user group consultation, the consultant team and the contractor. We try in every project to squeeze out every morsel of design quality and this can only be achieved through collaborative working. It is our intention on every scheme to provide strong leadership as designers, engendering a positive contribution to the design management and co-ordination of proposals and add value to completed scheme through positive design outputs. Projects are delivered in 3D using REVIT, increasing the project efficiency and co-ordination. The practice has a growing and diverse range of completed and ongoing projects within the commercial, retail, leisure, community, and residential sectors.
