The refurbishment of 3 no. existing 11 stories high rise residential apartment blocks in Billingham town centre, Teesside. The project includes the over cladding of the existing buildings, infill of the ground floor pilotis to create new accessible apartments and communal facilities, new entrance lobbies and refurbishment of internal communal spaces and the extensive landscaping of the grounds to create communal gardens. The project is on site and due for completion in September 2014. The scheme is being constructed by Wates Living and Blake Hopkinson Architecture have been novated across to the contractor as part of the design and build procurement route.
