About the practice

Led by Neil Kahawatte, an experienced chartered Architect, we design & deliver high quality projects with a focus on environmentally sensitive contemporary design. We’re not afraid of a challenge, and find that constraints on a design project, whether from planning, cost or surrounding context, can lead to some of the richest and most interesting designs. Many of the practice's projects are located in historic contexts, often within Conservation Areas or Listed buildings. Good design involves responding positively to these conditions and developing an appropriate, and often unique, solution. We are committed to providing a high level of service, and to achieving the best possible design and construction. We work closely with every client to manage their project through all stages from concept to completion, through a rigorous system of project planning and coordination. Neil is closely involved in every project, and we structure the process so that our clients can also have a high level of input if they wish. The service covers a broad spectrum, including; feasibility studies & options appraisals, concept design & space planning, interior design, bespoke furniture & kitchen design, detailed design and specification, design of landscapes and external works, planning and statutory approvals, contractor selection, tender & contract administration.
