Rud Sawers Architects is a practice committed to high quality, contemporary design with an approach that is practical, sustainable, value for money and accessible for all. The practice has a simple design philosophy to transform project constraints into opportunities that produce inventive, unique and beautiful buildings. With extensive working experience at a number of design-led architectural practices, our work is characterised by well-considered, inspiring design. The work is carried out with a client friendly sense of fun and a collaborative team approach. Rud established the practice following professional qualification in 1996 and has worked alongside London and Manchester based practices including Hodder Associates, Michael Hopkins and Partners, Feilden Clegg Bradley on numerous award-winning projects. The practice portfolio includes numerous sustainable houses including a 99 unit. low energy residential project in Plymouth, a range of education buildings including 3 no. new build sixth form centres and primary schools, sports and leisure clubs, a wildlife café, passive house. We have extensive listed building experience including the grade 2 listed conversation and extension of Lympstone Manor, sensitive conservation work and a £11M hotel and fine dining restaurant.
