About the practice

Placemake is an RIBA Chartered Practice and an Urban Design Group registered practice of architects, urban designers and regeneration specialists. Our passion is place making and shaping – from the planning and design of bespoke buildings and places to master planning, regeneration and strategy. Formed in 2013, our experience spans a range of developments of varying scale, character and intent. Often involving complex design challenges, a number of these have gone on to receive commendations and are currently being experienced and enjoyed as integrated buildings, places and spaces. As an independent team, we support a wide spectrum of clients from property owners, developers and land agents to local authorities, housing associations and lead/ local consultants. Underpinning every project is a commitment to viable and sustainable design and a passion for places. From a base in Hitchin, midway between London and Cambridge, we are currently working on a range of exciting developments on sites of between 0.5 and 2,500 hectares across the UK, Middle East and West Africa.
