About the practice

Founded in 2006 we have been involved in housing, leisure, masterplanning and educational buildings. More recently we have concentrated on new houses located in rural settings. We have completed a number of new replacement houses and houses designed under Paragraph 79 (country houses). Many of these houses have been in sensitive planning locations- greenbelt, conservation areas, SSSI and combinations of all of these. Our successes in planning applications are a combination of our understanding of the planning process and our willingness to engage with local planning authorities to find convincing ways of interpreting the context and fulfilling our client's brief. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and produce buildings that aim to exceed their expectations and are sensitive to local building materials and techniques. We have won RIBA awards for our work and we give back to the community through our CIC D-Lab.co.uk which gives local people the opportunity to engage in creative work and digital fabrication at our community workshops based in Hertfordshire and London.
