About the practice

We practice architecture because we enjoy creation through collaboration. We are committed to good communication with our clients, communities, charities, educational and arts organisations and to promoting sustainable design. We promise the highest standards of architectural creativity. We have a consistent procedure for each project ['Robust Design Process']: Patient building of the brief, involving a lot of research and a lot of listening; Thorough study of site and surroundings, local materials and building techniques; Creative vision reinforced by logical analysis of design options; Close collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors; Intelligent engineering, carefully assessed where innovation is applied. Throughout each project, we listen carefully to our clients, evolve the designs accordingly and explain our proposals clearly. This ensures each project becomes a unique and useful building that represents all those involved in its design, development and future use. We are members of The Green Register, the Association for Environmentally-Conscious Building and Cornwall Sustainable Buildings Trust. We support sustainable practices and encourage environmentally benign architecture, utilising our Passivhaus Planning software. Mark is a Lecturer in Architectural Design and Technology at Falmouth University, and has been a visiting lecturer at Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes University.
