About the practice

tangramGulf are a multi-disciplinary design practice who’s award winning MENA Region studio is based in Dubai, from where we undertake diverse social infrastructure works, and who were recognised as the “2019 MENA Architecture Firm of the Year”, by the Middle East Economic Digest. We offer a holistic approach to the integration of fully engineered design solutions that respond to specific site and client needs for each and every project. Continually driving sustainable strategies and solutions across our practice and portfolio, including delivering the first ever green-roofed building for the Government of Dubai. We have a completed body of works that are recognised both regionally and internationally for quality of design, regionally significant and often first-of-their-kind projects and programmes that respect and respond to local environmental, cultural, social and economic sustainability needs. With our work being acknowledged “for continuing to push boundaries with fresh and exciting ideas across the region, which have sustainability at their core” (Middle East Architect Awards, 2014). We have received over 30 design awards and recognitions including for schemes which brought us six international sustainability awards, for five different projects in four years. In addition to our extensive works in residential, hospitality, civic, cultural and education we bring specialisms in the design of healthcare, laboratories, nuclear medicine and nuclear energy support facilities. We undertake new build, refurbishment, renovation and remodelling works, and have studios in KSA, Qatar, across the UAE and in Algeria, where we are the only UK designers to be based in the country.
