About the practice

L1 Architecture/Design is a practice formed in 2005 undertaking a critical investigation of architecture in the context of uneven global mobility, modern construction methods & right-sized (even compact) & sustainable solutions. Core experience began with small private & larger residential projects, in new and heritage contexts in London, UK. Versatile with smaller budgets as well as larger ones, fluency with traditional as well as innovative materials, with an interest in timber engineered products, which in the residential context are very useful. Includes some experience with this technology in Ontario.
