Contact PracticeIn practice since 1994, BakerBrown designs beautiful homes, community buildings, and pieces of city – both in the UK and abroad. Architects, consultants and long–term advocates of low and net zero carbon buildings, we believe sustainable design offers the best means of living well – socially, environmentally, financially – and have dedicated our working lives to helping create it. Since winning the Royal Institute of British Architects 'House of the Future' competition with Ian McKay, we have been internationally recognised as pioneers in the field. Experimenting with new designs, materials, and ways of working, our better known work includes our circular economy-influenced design for London’s Greenwich Millenium Village, designing The House That Kevin Built, the UK’s first A* Energy Rated Building, and creating The Waste House, the world’s first building made of waste. As a result, we are frequently invited to share our knowledge and experience at international symposiums, with policy makers, and on mainstream news outlets. Everything we do is designed to celebrate life – now, tomorrow, and for the long term.
