About the practice

Atelier MB is an award-winning architecture practice with in-house heritage expertise. Originating in Manchester in 1980, we designed some of the first post-industrial conversions in the city. We’ve been steadily rejuvenating sites and spaces ever since, across the north-west and beyond. We are modern architects. We are also conservation architects. We understand heritage. We also understand commerciality. Over four decades our principles have remained constant: imaginative modern design, a respect for the past, and a focus on individual architectural solutions. Our chartered practice is a distinctive mix of contemporary architecture and existing character, creativity and craft.
