Compared to other proposed developments on the Old Kent Road the Livesey Exchange is a small project and that has taken a considerable amount of time and commitment to emerge in its current form. It is the outcome of a local initiative started in 2016 and involving many supporters, collaborators and partners. The proposed development will accommodate a community hub and workspaces to support light industrial uses. As a new addition to the high street the Livesey Exchange will have a public facing programme on the ground ?oor, and as one of the ?rst completed projects in the ?rst phase of development on Old Kent Road it will become a new focal point particularly for existing local communities during a period of intense change. The two simple joined 2-storey buildings will provide space for work and skill sharing in combination with space for socialising and cultural events.
