Providing architectural and urban design services we have worked in collaboration with Waltham Forest's Highways team in the delivery of the Leytonstone Business Low Emission Neighbourhood - Green Links scheme, funded by the GLA and located in the Bushwood area of Leytonstone, adjacent to Epping Forest. The two proposed Green Links routes; The Hornbeam Link and The Lime Link aim to create improved routes from High Road Leytonstone to Bush Wood / Wanstead Flats through the implementation of various public realm improvements. These include new green infrastructure, traffic calming improvements and innovative wayfinding and public art elements, which assist in improving local air quality and enhance local accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. Projects include: new community gardens, new rainwater gardens, public realm gateway schemes at Wanstead Flats plus new wayfinding elements.
