Project won by vHH through competition to improve the campus of College-O.-L.-V.-ten-Doorn, working with SMAK architects and Macgregor Smith, as part of the Flemish Governments DMFM programme. The project includes a landscape masterplan for the historic campus, a new teaching block and campus entrance of 4,600m2, and the complete refurbishment of a 5,538m2 building for the Middle School. The facilities include general teaching rooms, laboratories, sports halls a teaching kitchen and restaurant, and social facilities. In 2014 our team secured the building permit approvals for the proposals and issued the tender documents for the Scholen van Morgen framework contractors. Construction started in 2015, following a long tender and subsequent negotiating period, and the building was opened in Spring 2017.
