Wimpole House is a Grade II listed building in Marylebone with a contrasting ornate front and utilitarian rear. The design concept reflects the duality of these façades and manifested itself in the wall panelling: rich, ornamented panelling in the front-facing living room, and simple, minimal panelling in the rear-facing bedrooms and kitchen. A key challenge was creating clean, uncluttered spaces, with concealed storage systems throughout, allowing the home’s functionality to disappear when not in use, maintaining a serene atmosphere.
