Once a dilapidated Grade II listed house within the South Downs National Park, Ambersham House has been carefully restored and reordered as a refined holiday let for the Cowdray Estate. Pritchard Architecture led a sensitive refurbishment that retains historic features, including exposed timber and stonework, while introducing discreet modern interventions to improve comfort and functionality. Internal spaces were reconfigured to enhance flow, and sustainable upgrades, including wood fibre insulation and improved heating, significantly enhance energy performance. The project secures the building’s future while celebrating its heritage.
