The Bagging Shed project at Amberley Museum reimagines the entrance to this Scheduled Monument and popular visitor attraction. Pritchard Architecture undertook careful repairs to the Bagging Shed, Loading Bay and No.?1 Kiln, stabilising historic structures while retaining their rugged industrial character. Sensitive restoration of timber, brickwork and corrugated roofing is paired with discreet modern additions, including a fully reversible steel walkway and improved accessibility. The Bagging Shed now accommodates a new gift shop, enhancing visitor experience while safeguarding the site’s industrial heritage for future generations.
