The design brief was for a contemporary home on an existing residential site. Planning restrictions meant that the design for the new home should be low profile and arranged around lightwells and a garden space sheltered by the existing garden walls Thoughtfully positioned lightwells, maximise natural daylight and create a calm and tranquil series of spaces. The material palette is raw and honest and detailing was rigorously considered to create a robust design that is intended to age gracefully.
