The existing mid-to-late c20th chalet bungalow on this site suffered greatly with a long list of maintenance issues, did not utilise the plot it sat on and was highly thermally inefficient so our clients engaged with us to create a replacement dwelling. We sought to maximise the potential of the plot, enhance connections to the garden and frame the stunning coastal views with the following key objectives: Sustainability: Use of high-quality natural materials that reflect the street's muted palette in a contemporary and refined manner.
