About the practice

We are a small practice based in London. We start every project by taking a detailed brief. We then think of as many ways as we can of satisfying our client's requirements. We discuss the options with our client, develop a limited number, and eventually narrow them down to a single design for which we obtain the necessary planning and other consents. Before developing the design further we do a detailed cost check. We then develop the design, spending time to make every feature as perfectly functional, as efficient and as well proportioned as it can be within the constraints of the client's budget. We finish the pre-construction process by preparing a comprehensive set of working drawings, schedules and a specification. We invite tenders from builders known to us or to our clients. On most of our projects we administer the building contract ourselves. We ensure that progress is monitored and costs controlled. We like to finish with a building to which client, builder, and architect and other consultants have all contributed in such a way that the result would not have been as good without any one of them.
