The clients' brief was to build an exemplary sustainable extension to their existing sandstone farmhouse, incorporating a wide range of advanced environmental strategies. NCA created a timber frame and shingle-clad extension with a meadow flower green roof and a rainwater harvesting system. The works included a centrally located Scandinavian log burning masonry heating system. The extension created a new entrance and living space for the couple, including an elevated patio overlooking the bucolic garden and newly created pond.
