Hastings Borough Council originally commissioned NCA to bring back into use this long derelict 1930’s swimming baths. NCA recommended minimal intervention and repair to the existing concrete structure to ensure a basic watertight envelope to house skate ramps in the former pool areas, to bring the building back into meanwhile use. As a 2nd phase a timber vending kiosk was added at promenade level and a 3rd phase has opened up the sunken East courtyard for use as a food court. The project has contributed significantly to the regeneration of the White Rock area of Hastings.
