The brief was to convert and extend this Grade II Listed Victorian terrace house to create a contemporary home for a young family. The challenge was to open up the house without removing any walls within a historic building to create new living quarters to suit the family’s lifestyle. NCA designed an in-situ concrete framed sunroom extension with a green roof, floor to ceiling windows, concrete soffit and white walls to create a light bright space. The outdoor space is a combination of concrete garden structures and rubber crumb paving. The bespoke kitchen was designed together with the clients who were keen on an industrial style, it features stainless steel units & counters facing a black granite slab island, with exposed extractor & ducts and vintage factory lights.
