Unit 333 , Stratford Workshops , Burford Road , Stratford , London , E15 2SP , United Kingdom
Khan Bonshek were approached to refresh and reconfigure an existing modern mews house in South London. Working within existing constraints the plan was rationalised, providing dual aspect spaces, layering and the opening up of axial views for improved light and outlook. The interiors make use of douglas fir timber panelling, precast concrete, clay plaster and handmade tiles to create a rich, textured approach to materiality. Back-to-back joinery partitions, colourful sliding doors and active circulation bring movement and playfulness to the internal spaces.
