JTP has led a bespoke and pioneering community engagement process, co-creating the vision with residents, traders, young people and stakeholders as part of the Chrisp Street comprehensive estate and town centre regeneration. Appointed by Telford Living and working alongside AND London, JTP has helped to unlock the long-term potential of the area and rebuild trust through meaningful engagement and design. The vision for this important district centre in Poplar has been shaped through a deeply inclusive and data-informed approach, working with residents, traders, young people and stakeholders, and recognising Tower Hamlets’ youthful and diverse population. Through JTP Engages in 2025, we engaged over 2,800 people across 45 hours of engagement activity, supported by 100,000 social media views, 30,000+ flyers, and continuous online and on-site feedback channels. A vacant shop was transformed into a temporary community hub, hosting two co-design days that welcomed over 1,000 participants through ideas walls, design tables, live AI visuals, children’s toolkits and informal activities.
