HTP have carried out many new-build Care Homes and conversions and extensions to Care Homes. We have obtained Planning Consents most recently for a new build 65 bed care home in a Conservation area in Kingston upon Thames – this would replace an existing Care Home on the site which is dilapidated and unsuitable. We are also currently working on upgrading improvements on a Care Home in St Albans and re-modelling of a listed building Care Home in Twickenham. A typical project is a 62 bed new Nursing home, over 4 floors, the development is a separately owned and developed part of a new Fairview Homes development near Croydon. The design was required to form a visual transition between an adjacent modern style College campus, and the new, traditional, housing. Using a palette of facing brick to match the new housing, and a framed, white rendered style to relate to the College campus, the new building was granted Planning Consent, and is now completed. The interior has an upmarket hotel feel, with many communal facilities such as hairdresser, bar, coffee bar, library etc. All client bedrooms have ensuites, and there are assisted bathrooms , showers etc where required. HTP were initially employed by Fairview New Homes Ltd to provide design drawings for the Nursing Home building, part of the overall housing Planning Application. HTP were subsequently appointed by the Care Home developer client to provide architectural and procurement advice, and to act as Clients Representative throughout the project.
