About the practice

Hoopers Architects Ltd are located in the centre of Ipswich, originally formed in 1912 by architect Harold Ridley Hooper. The practice is more than a long-established architectural office with experience in professional practice across all RIBA Work Stages. It is a collection of highly skilled architects and designers striking a balance between a careful and considered crafted approach with an understanding of commercial enterprise. We provide architectural service across all of the RIBA Work Stages and specialises in the sectors of Housing and Houses, Sports, Leisure and Community, Education, Mental Health Care and Well Being, Masterplanning and Placemaking. Hoopers Architects R&D (Research & Development) programme extends the culture of "curious enthusiasm" in what we do. Our R&D projects actively promote our team to develop skills and ideas beyond the boundaries of a traditional appointments and allow us to extend our knowledge and skill base into areas of specific interest.
