This sports club in Surrey is located in Metropolitan Open Land (MOL). The brief from our client was to improve the club’s facilities. The project includes a new padel tennis centre, swimming pool, gym, changing rooms and café. It was important fit the padel tennis onto the site so it worked with easy access from parking. The court location works with other sporting activities taking place nearby including the gym and swimming pool and exercise studios. Planning: We made sure all the ecological reports and arboriculture assessments the council required were completed to ensure a smooth path through planning. We established what sports facilities were needed in the borough and how padel tennis and swimming would contribute to meeting the needs of the local community. The project is currently being considered by the local council.
