The latest phase in the ongoing redevelopment of the Blackpool Victoria Hospital site, which has previously provided the Regional Cardiac Centre, Women and Childrens Centre, Urgent care Unit, Surgical centre, Education Centre, Mortuary,is the new state of the art Main Entrance. The modern triple height atrium space links all the different levels of the existing hospital from one central hub and orientates visitors onto the wider hospital site. The entrance hall provides a fully accessible focal point for the site, hotel like meet and greet facilities and includes Costa Coffee, Marks and Spencer and WH Smith retail outlets. The £6M project reflects the changing face of modern healthcare services and signals the Trust’s commitment to deliver a modern, positive and patient experience on its main site. The Building was constructed by Wilmot Dixon with Gilling Dod as Project Architects..
