Alteration to existing property
The client says, "Jo and Adrie helped us do a FULL renovation of a really run down property that is now a beautiful home that we love living in. We were doing the project remotely, while living in another country and they were very patient and accommodating of our restricted schedules without which the project would have been logistically impossible for us to pull off. They were also very good at taking our needs, wants and suggestions on board while gently guiding us in our design choices, something that was invaluable to a rather particular client like myself. They live locally to us and were also lovely about taking care of our house while we were away and have always been ready to help whenever needed. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Architecture and design magazine Stir World writes: “Edwards Rensen Architects turns a derelict Victorian house into a minimalist haven. This period home in Islington, London, saw a dramatic transfiguration including opening up the cellular ground floor and adding a striking steel stair.” Cerulean was featured in Channel 4's Extraordinary Extensions. London Open House invited this to be included in Open House weekend. New London Architecture selected this project for their Don’t Move Improve exhibition. It was also published in Gardens Illustrated and Livingetc Magazines. International architecture and design magazine Wallpaper* writes: “The pared-down aesthetic of these minimalist interiors is cleverly matched with sustainable and smart interventions throughout, making this home a perfect balance of looks and functionality.”
