A 1930s semi in Gidea Park with a kitchen cut off from the living room. The owners wanted the full six metres that permitted development allows, so we applied for prior approval for a single-storey rear extension. When the planning officer raised the neighbour’s daylight, we revised the design with the officer and approval followed in August 2025. We took Building Regulations approval and the Thames Water build-over through in the same weeks, so the owners had a buildable six-metre extension the same day. RIBA Stages 2 to 4.
