About the practice

Cousins & Cousins, founded in 2012 by Ben and Jelena Cousins, is an architecture and interior design practice dedicated to creating high quality homes, workplaces, commercial buildings and cultural projects. Our work is focused on crafting spaces using materials, light and detail that promotes wellbeing for people within them. Conversation is at the centre of our company’s ethos; we establish what’s important to our clients to unlock the potential for their projects and give them buildings and spaces that exceed expectations and maximise value and enjoyment. Our buildings function as beautifully as they look; each a composition of rational spaces with purity of form focusing on quality and sustainability that push boundaries in design. Our process is collaborative and iterative, and we are continuously imagining and reinventing ideas to define creative design solutions. Alongside our new-build homes and private commissions we are also specialists in sustainable retrofit, modern methods of construction, heritage sites and listed buildings. The practice is RIBA accredited and ISO 9001 certified; our methodical and transparent design processes have risk management and mitigation woven in at every stage, supplemented by rigorous monitoring and robust procedures.
