We provided full architectural services for Two Gables, a bespoke contemporary new home located on a hidden, unconventional site within a Derbyshire conservation area. Conceived as a secret garden, our design arranges rooms around open sided, south facing courtyards. This forms intimate garden rooms and brings natural light deep into the plan. The architecture offers a contemporary interpretation of the Arts and Crafts movement, informed by careful observation of the surrounding context. Designed as a sustainable exemplar, the property targets Passivhaus performance and uses integrated renewable energy systems to respect its sensitive historic setting.
