Omega Warrington is a 775-acre mixed-use masterplan on the former RAF/USAF Burtonwood Airbase, recognised as one of Europe’s most significant strategic development sites. The brief transforms a historic airfield into a major employment-led destination, retaining key assets including five aircraft hangars and delivering a 40-acre central park. Over 5 million sq ft of manufacturing and logistics space has been developed alongside offices, leisure, hotel and conference uses. The masterplan also includes a retail park and 1,400 homes. Designed for phased delivery, the scheme accommodates a diverse range of occupiers, supporting long-term economic growth, job creation and regional connectivity. In addition to masterplanning, Chetwoods has also designed buildings for many of the tenants.
