Ceramic House is a full refurbishment, rear extension and loft conversion to a Victorian terrace in Brockley, London. Appointed from RIBA Stage 4, Bolans Architects developed the detailed design, coordinated construction and Party Wall matters, and significantly reworked the approved scheme. A key part of our role was establishing a new architectural language for the rear extension, expressed through an intricately detailed green ceramic tiled façade formed from multiple brick-slip profiles. The project also involved complex loft restructuring, internal reconfiguration, concealed servicing, bespoke joinery and carefully coordinated material detailing.
