Bunker House is a contemporary rear extension and reconfiguration of a constrained mid-terraced home in London. Bolans Architects provided services from planning through technical design and construction, including waterproofing, detailed coordination and Party Wall matters. The partially sunken extension is organised around a central courtyard, increasing the ground-floor footprint while preserving valuable garden space and creating strong connections between interior and landscape. A green roof, floating staircase and integrated pond form part of the architectural response. The completed project was subsequently featured in The Guardian’s Observer Magazine.
