A small cafe at the edge of East London, conjured up from a lack of straight lines to create an organic textured space. New-build commercial units can often feel a little faceless and cold, and the aim here was to create a warm welcoming environment that people loved and wanted to keep coming back to. The palette of rough clay plaster in terracotta on the main counters, and a polished plaster on the walls help make the most of the red travertine countertops. Metal elements in oxide red give detailed elements a sharp finish.
