About the practice

Added Value Architecture Ltd. is a small Chartered Practice founded by residential architect, Karen Harper. Having worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, Karen has gained a wealth of experience in temporary works, structural engineering and architecture. She has worked for several award-winning RIBA Chartered practices in Cheshire. Edward and Michael are talented Part 2 Architectural Assistants who joined the team in 2020 and 2021. The design team is complimented by Kevin, our Business Manager, who ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice and is the first point of contact for new enquiries. Karen, Edward and Michael have a passion for residential architecture and a talent for reconfiguring internal layouts to make spaces work more effectively. They take pride in offering solutions which challenge preconceptions and add value, not just square footage.
