One of two new linked public spaces, a riverside park and a square at Gallions Reach DLR Station (Gallions Square) and, designed as part of wider infrastructure works to facilitate future development at Royal Albert Basin. Situated at a dramatic turn in the Thames, and marking the eastern point of the capital Ring footpath, Armada Green provides a place in which to enjoy the scale, silence and wildlife of the river. The space also provides access to existing service structures, a Port of London Authority communications mast and a storm water drainage culvert, as well as a new electricty sub station. Timber sleepers found on the site are inlaid into the riverbed-like ground and also enclose the sub station.
